Final Seminar of ABOWE Baltic Sea Region Biorefinery project

Warmly welcome to the Final Seminar of ABOWE Baltic Sea Region Biorefinery project in Helsinki Viikki Campus area on 30.10.2014.

In the Final seminar will be heard test results of a novel biorefinery in three countries (Sweden, Poland, Finland) as well as future trends of biorefining. The international partners of ABOWE will describe the Pilot A development work and biorefinery promotion in different countries during 2014.

Moreover, it is possible to visit the mobile piloting station which has been constructed as a multi-organisational Finnish effort. The novel biorefinery concept has been innovated and designed by Adj. Prof. Elias Hakalehto (Finnoflag Oy and University of Eastern Finland) and this piloting station has been planned and constructed in a joint project at Savonia University of Applied Sciences.

The topics integrate the regional and global aspects of sustainable and economically feasible biorefining. Then acting locally would bring in global ecodevelopment. Innovative design and joining together various technologies produce and highlight new views of progress.

The seminar will be held in Lecture Hall 1 of the B-Building in Latokartanonkaari 7-9. The exhibition of the mobile Pilot A biorefinery pilot plant will be organized in the area of Tropical Garden in the address Koetilantie 1.
