ACL - German-Lithuanian Evening Forum: ‘You can’t get around Lithuania’
Hamburg, 10th Sept. 2013: ‘For Hamburg, Lithuania is not only a gateway to the CIS states - it is also the way to Asia,' said Axel Mattern, executive board member of Port of Hamburg Marketing, welcoming some 100 prestigious guests attending the German-Lithuanian Evening Forum which took place in Hamburg on Tuesday. The event was organised under the auspices of Amber Coast Logistics (ACL). Invitations were jointly issued by the lead partner of the project, Port of Hamburg Marketing, Regd. Assn., and the Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania.
The principal speaker at the event, which took place under the title of ‘The Growing Importance of the Biggest Baltic Republic and its Hinterland for German Foreign Trade', was Deividas Matulionis, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Germany. Kurt Bodewig, the former Federal Minister of Transport and Honorary Consul of Lithuania in Hamburg, was the host and moderator who introduced the speakers.
