INTERREG Joint Technical Secretariat teams exploring Schwerin

Where do we work and live? The INTERREG Secretariat teams from Riga and Rostock, including almost 30 colleagues of 11 nationalities, organized an informative excursion to Schwerin, capital of the State Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Mr Sebastian Schröder, State Secretary in the Ministry for Transport, Construction and Planning shared his expectations towards the new Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007-2013. He said that the Government at Schwerin is particularly interested in improving transport connections. Ms Susanne Scherrer, head of the Secretariats, encouraged the Government to take active role in programme implementation.

The Secretariat teams further visited the Parliament located at the Schwerin Palace (Schweriner Schloß) and enjoyed a guided tour through the State Picture Gallery.
