Join the Thematic Programming Workshops 2014-2020

The Baltic Sea Region Programme 2014-2020 will focus on (at least) the following thematic priorities:

  • Strengthening research, technological development and innovation,
  • Protecting the environment and promoting resource efficiency,
  • Promoting sustainable transport and removing bottlenecks in key network infrastructures.

Descriptions of programme priorities on these topics are currently being drafted by the Joint Technical Secretariat and will be reviewed by the Joint Programming Committee in February/March 2013. Afterwards the descriptions of priorities will be discussed with thematic experts, potential target groups and stakeholders. Three Thematic Programming Workshops, each focusing on one of the priorities, will take place in Riga and Berlin in April 2013:

  • 17 April 2013, Berlin, focusing on environment
  • 24 April 2013, Riga, focusing on transport
  • 25 April 2013, Riga, focusing on innovation

Aim of the workshops is to inform about the thematic priorities, to identify demand for specific cooperation themes, and to receive feedback on the definition of objectives and actions that shall be financed from the Baltic Sea Region Programme 2014-2020. Core element of the workshops will be interactive discussions in the working groups.

The workshops will provide the opportunity to gain an overview of the preparatory work, and to express views and wishes towards the new programme just at the right time. Click here for the draft agenda.
