Susanne Scherrer

Director of the Joint Technical Secretariat Rostock/Riga

Susanne graduated in Political Science and Fenno-Ugristics at Hamburg and Budapest University. She worked as programme manager and consultant for EU financed programmes in Hungary as well as in Poland and the Baltic States. She joined the INTERREG programme in 1998.

Susanne is responsible for overall programme and human resource management at the offices of the JTS (Rostock & Riga). Her tasks include programme marketing and public relations.

Thomas Weber
Thomas Weber

Team Leader Finances and Administration

Thomas started in the maritime sector as a trained sailor and ship mechanic. Later on, he graduated in Business Administration at Rostock University, and worked in the tourism sector. He joined the INTERREG programme as Financial Project Manager in 1999.

Thomas is the central contact point between the JTS and the Managing and Certifying Authority at Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein. In addition, he is responsible for managing programme finances including Technical Assistance, as well as for JTS staff and office administration. He also leads the team of Financial Officers at the JTS.

Eeva Rantama
Eeva Rantama

Project Officer & Team Leader

Eeva graduated in land surveying at the Technical University of Helsinki. She has a PhD in administrative sciences after her post graduate studies in regional sciences at the University of Tampere and University of Augsburg. She has worked as a project coordinator in the fields of rural and city development in public administrations in Finland and Germany.

Eeva is coordinating the project team, which is responsible for project development, applications, assessment procedure, project monitoring, project changes and project closure.

Ute Neumann
Ute Neumann

Programme Manager

Ute graduated in Political Sciences, Sociology and American Studies at Rostock University. She has experience as Political officer in Brussels and in the INTERREG IIIC North Secretariat/ INTERACT Point IIIC coordination in Rostock. There, Ute was responsible for project monitoring of IIIC operations and for the management of the INTERACT Point.

Ute is a member of the project team. She is mainly responsible for the exchange of information and reporting at programme level to the European Commission, Monitoring Committee, Managing and Certifying Authorities. She also coordinates and documents meetings and communication flows within the JTS.

Vineta Griekere
Vineta Griekere

Project Officer

Vineta has graduated in environmental sciences and has done post-graduated studies in urban management in Rotterdam, Netherlands. She has experiences in the field of regional policy and public administration.

Vineta works from the Riga office and her main responsibility is monitoring of the projects.

Roman Kozlowski
Roman Kozlowski

Project Officer

Roman graduated in International Relations from the Academy of Economics in Wroclaw and did postgraduate "Master of European Studies" at the Hochschule Bremen. He had also training at the European Commission in DG REGIO.

Roman is responsible for the preparation of the calls for project applications and for the assessment procedure.

Marta Slezak-Warszycka
Marta Slezak-Warszycka

Project Officer

Marta graduated in Political Science from Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz. She has been specialising in European integration issues. Marta gained her professional experience through work in Energy Conservation Agency and educational institutions. Before joining Secretariat she has been a consultant in Europe Direct Information Network.

Marta is a member of the project team. She advises applicants during project development process, she is also dealing with project implementation (progress monitoring, projects' changes, and finalisation of the projects).

Bartłomiej Wierzbicki
Bartłomiej Wierzbicki

Project Officer

Bartłomiej has studied Public Administration at Potsdam University in Germany. Having worked for the Polish Ministry of Interior and Administration and as Chief Clerk for the City Administration of Pasewalk he has a strong public body background. His working experience for the private sector comes from his time as associate at a German-Polish consultancy in Frankfurt/Oder.

Bartłomiej is a member of the project team. He advises applicants during the project development process. Besides he is involved with project implementation such as progress monitoring, changes of projects and their finalization.

Ronald Lieske

Project Officer

Ronald graduated in Urban and Regional Planning at the Technical University of Berlin and in European Studies at Aalborg University in Denmark. He has worked for the INTERREG IIIB Baltic Sea Region and INTERREG IIIC North secretariats since 2001.

Ronald is part of the project team. He is involved in project development, assessment and monitoring. In addition, he is responsible for the INTERREG IVC and South Baltic Info/Contact Points at the Rostock office.

Elena Kolosova

Project Officer

Elena graduated in Germanic philology and made studies in Swedish linguistics in Sweden. She worked as a project coordinator for the EU financed programmes in Russia. Later on as the Tacis project manager Elena supported INTERREG IIIA cross-border cooperation programme Estonia-Latvia-Russia.

Elena works from the Riga office and her main responsibilities are project development, assessment and monitoring with the special focus on cooperation with Russian and Belarusian organisations.

Liga graduated from University of Latvia in Economics and has a Master in International Business and Law from the University of Rostock. She has worked in various public and non-governmental institutions.

Robert Schulz

Information Coordinator

Robert has studied at the University of Rostock and the Ruprechts Karls University Heidelberg. He obtained master degrees in Political Science and History. From 2004 to 2008 he worked for the Joint Technical Secretariat of the INTERREG IIIC North Programme.

As Information Coordinator Robert supports the JTS director in organising and managing her work. In addition Robert is responsible for adjusting the Territorial Cooperation Management Database according to the needs of the users in the JTS. Furthermore he is the contact person for other programmes operating the database.

Rostislav Zatloukal
Rostislav Zatloukal

Adviser for Audit and Control

Rostislav graduated in entrepreneurship and management, and continued with postgraduate European Studies. Afterwards he completed a 5-month in-service training at the European Commission. Before taking up the assignment within the INTERREG he has worked for the Phare Supplier Development Programme.

Rostislav is a member of the financial team. Rostislav advises projects in questions of audit and control. He also supports the first level controllers and the second level auditors of the Member States and Norway.

Vaclav Kaplan
Václav Kaplan

Finance Officer

Václav studied Business Management at the Silesian University in Karvina and at the University of Economics in Prague. After the postgraduate European Studies at the Hochschule Bremen Václav worked as Operational Manager in Bad Düben and as Project Assistant in an urban regeneration agency in Ludwigslust. Within the BSR INTERREG IIIB Programme Václav was mainly responsible for the financial management of the two integrated INTERREG IIIA cross-border programmes Estonia-Latvia-Russia and Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus.

Václav is responsible for monitoring of financial reports and for supporting applicants and project partners by providing advice and information on implementation, reporting and budgetary issues.

Dana graduated in Baltic Management Studies in 2006. During her studies, she has been working as student assistant for the BSR INTERREG III B Joint Secretariat, as well as completed a 6-month training in a BSR INTERREG III B Lead Partner organisation.

Dana is responsible for monitoring of financial reports and for supporting applicants and project partners by providing advice and information on implementation, reporting and budgetary issues. Additionally, she supports the programme internal administration.

Orsolya graduated in European Studies at Babes Bolyai University, Cluj Napoca, Romania. She worked for the Regional Operational Programme 2007 - 2013 for Romania where she was responsible for monitoring technical assistance projects.

Edith Walter
Edith Belusa

Team Assistant

Edith made an apprenticeship in commerce as well as a vocational training in the hotel business in her hometown Trier. She worked for large international hotel chains in several positions (Reservation, Sales & Marketing, Event Management and Personal Assistant). Later on she had further education in marketing and worked as Executive Secretary for the regional newspaper and for an internationally acting brewery as Marketing Clerk.

As a Team Assistant Edith supports the whole team in their daily work.
