The involved stakeholders (PACs, HALs, NCPs and pan-Baltic organisations) in the Baltic Sea region were asked (via questionnaire) about the themes that should be covered by the new programme. "Protecting the environment and promoting resource efficiency" and "promoting sustainable transport and removing bottlenecks in key network infrastructures" were among the most popular. Stakeholders would welcome support of the pilot investments. The Committee will relate these with the national views and will draft the thematic priorities for the coming programme. The most relevant strategic documents will be analysed. These will also influence the future cooperation themes.

The Joint Programming Committee will have its next meeting on the 28 of November 2012.
