Successfully allocating EU funds
Minister of European Affairs Spoorendonk acknowledges cooperation with IB.SH.
"I am happy that, when it comes to European issues, the state government and IB.SH have been tightly and successfully working together for years now. This cooperation will be further intensified in the years to come," said Anke Spoorendonk, Minister for European Affairs of the state of Schleswig-Holstein, during the New Year's Reception of Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein (IB.SH) and the Hanse-Office, the common representation to Brussels of Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg.

Minister Spoorendonk emphasised the important role of IB.SH in the allocation of EU-funds. For example, the state's development bank is hosting the Managing Authority and Joint Technical Secretariat of the Baltic Sea Region Programme with offices in Kiel, Rostock and Riga also during the funding period until 2020.

According to IB.SH's CEO, Erk Westermann-Lammers, IB.SH has been steadily increasing its competences in EU affairs over the past years. "With our broad range of EU-related consultancy, support and financial services we support regional actors in using the opportunities of the European Single Market. We think globally and act regionally", said Westermann-Lammers.
